Our Approach to Sustainability
Rollguard International feels a responsibility to help the world and people around us. We have the means to make a difference and we intend to take advantage of our position to help others and the environment.
Materials
All of our products are made from recyclable corrugated fiber pulp. All of these materials are 100% recyclable. Our one-piece design translates to more environmental savings. Less material is needed which means lower overall waste. Great Northern Rollguard is committed to helping its customers choose packaging solutions with the environment in mind.
Production
We have an internal focus centered on process improvement, with a commitment to invest in equipment and practices that reduce the amount of energy, natural resources, and waste required to operate our businesses.
Distribution
Our manufacturing facility is located in Germany and our raw materials are sourced locally, resulting in less freight to both produce our products as well as deliver them.
Use
We design and engineer cradle solutions that utilize fewer materials, are produced with more eco-friendly processes, and ultimately reduce the impact our packaging has on the environment. Great Northern Rollguard is committed to this process to help improve outcomes on sustainability scorecards while having the potential for cost reduction.
Product End of Life
Once the product has been used for its intended purpose, all materials are 100% curbside recyclable. We use standardized pallets ensuring that they can be optimized across supply chains for. It’s our goal to ensure as much of the packaging is put back into the supply chain as possible.
